A Day In Barcelona
We start the day in bed looking out our hotel’s balcony door into the Cathedral Square. The air is anxious with movement, predicting an exciting first day’s visit. My friends who had visited Barcelona were unanimous in praising its vibrancy providing an exciting and happy life style, full of local flavor, great food, wine, shopping and most of all an environment full of music. Speaking of music, while getting ready for the day, I heard this incredible likeness to Louis Armstrong with his trumpet and raspy voice syncopated to a catchy beat and strum of a banjo. I jumped to the window looked down on the crowd forming to hear this wonderful sound. It set a stage for what I found to be one of the most interesting and happy days of my life. Here is what I saw:
